Physical pain and discomfort in the body can often be related to unbalanced emotions and disturbances in our mind. According to the ancient Yoga Sutras, the author, Patanjali describes Yoga as being the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.
When our mind begins to find some clarity, or at least, when we are able to take a step back from the constant thoughts, images and internal commentary, we begin to find a sense of deep peace that can bring contentment, happiness and joy to our lives. The body then responds by becoming less tense, more supple and gradually pain free.
This workshop will explore the connection between the mind, our emotions and our body through the practice of simple Asana, soothing Pranayama and Meditative mindfulness, as well as deep Relaxation (Yoga Nidra) for complete holistic wellbeing.
