Yoga Therapy is a way of helping an individual to regain health and balance in their body and mind through the practice of yogic techniques that are specifically given to suit the individual. Yoga therapy can help treat a wide variety of complaints from back pain to stress and depression, and can help the individual to understand the root cause of their dis-ease, thus enabling them to act upon it and become whole again.
A typical yoga therapy session will involve an initial client consultation where the therapist gathers as much information about the client and their reason for coming to yoga therapy. The therapist will then devise a routine that helps to deal with the issues of the client and helps promote natural self healing of the body whilst aiming to allow the mind to experience peace. Yoga therapy is an holistic healing approach that recognises all aspects of a persons being from the physical and mental to the spiritual. This allows the client to begin to feel a unification of mind, body and spirit; the true meaning of Yoga.
I am a fully qualified Yoga Therapist, having completed training with Yogacampus in London which is accredited by The British Council of Yoga Therapy.
